When you hear “Bass Pro” you probably think of fishing and thats about it.  BUT, they have a GREAT line of women’s clothing, shoes and jewelry!  Who would have thunk it?

The closest Bass Pro Shop is about an hour away …. luckily :)  I was in the neighborhood yesterday and had a $10 off coupon from my Bass Pro Awards card so I had to go take a look.  I did buy a nice pair of “Born” shoes and a few T-Shirts.

If only they had a dress I could wear to the wedding!

With the death of Natasha Richardson comes a news report about her mother Vanessa Redgrave who in 2007 did a one woman show on Broadway - “The Year of Magical Thinking” by Joan Didion.  It is about a woman who loses her husband suddenly of a heart attack and then the death of her daughter within a year.  The book begins:

“Life changes fast
Life changes in a instant
You sit down to dinner and life as you know it ends”

I know this.  I know how life changes suddenly, in an instant, the tears that flow, the grief that comes.  If only we could turn back the clock.
