My daughter and her new husband moved just down the street and my new son-in-law is starting a tradition of Sunday dinners.  We’ll trade off houses each week … isn’t he a nice guy?!!

We went to their new place last Sunday and I was in charge of the salad.  Recently my husband and I were up in Morro Bay and stayed at the “Inn at Morro Bay” and we had dinner at the restaurant in the hotel.  I had the wedge salad which came with a Parmesan Crisp….. YUM.   So … my idea was to recreate the salad, kind of …

I thought it would be cute to make the Parmesan Crisp in the shape of an “H” - the first letter of their last name.  I looked on-line for a recipe for the Crisp - easy ..

Grate some Parmesan cheese - little or small, doesn’t matter too much.  You can add some cracked pepper or other spices.  I added a bit of cracked pepper.  You MUST use parchment paper or they will STICK to your pan… even if you try a bit of butter on the pan first.  I learned this the hard way.

I made my “H”, patted it down a bit and baked them at 400 for about 8 minutes.  Viola!

They could have been a bit smaller … I will have to practice some more!
