While camping down at San Elijo, we took a minute to drive up Highway 1 to the “Madd Potter” store.  We had been there once before and wanted to look at their fountain set-ups.  They have great pots and fountain set-ups.  While we were looking around we saw these palms, which had a bamboo look.

We decided to buy them and pick them up the next week after our camping weekend.  I took our pick-up truck down on Monday …. thinking both of the palms would easily fit.  You know, those boxes don’t look THAT big …  well ….  see for yourself -

 One at a time!  That brown thing in the truck is a huge pot.  I had to go back down the next morning and get the next one.

We bought the huge pot as we thought we might plant one of them in it ,,, but decided against it and planted both in the yard.  This was pretty tough … 24″ boxes!  Big holes to dig! 

We’re really happy with them!

If you live in Southern California and need great pots, plants, palms, etc… I would definately recommend The Madd Potter.
