We get two local newspapers - San Clemente and Dana Point and I like to read the “Crime in Your Neighborhood” or “Sheriffs Blotter” to see what’s happening out there in my city!  Here are a few from the San Clemente paper -

Disturbance. East Avenida Pico. 800 block. A woman tried to break up a fistfight involving two women and a man, but ended up joining the fight. 1:10 P.M.
— I think drinking may have been involved, don’t you?

Disturbance. Avenida Del Mar, 200 block.  A man who had been kicked out of BeachFire Grill for trying to start fights, took his shirt off and began walking around the restaurant, a caller said. 11:07 P.M.
— I think drinking was involved…. seems to be a pattern…  This would really ruin a meal…if I was eating at 11 PM !!

Assist outside agency.  Camino de los Mares, 600 block.  A woman found slumped over the wheel of a car with a syringe sticking out of her was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, authorities said. 2:32 P.M.
— This is first funny and then pretty sad.  Now, if the keys were NOT in the ignition, would she get arrested for driving under the influence?  Is it illegal to stick the syringe in and then take a nap in your car?  :O

You should read this section in the local papers and you realize how normal you are
