Close your eyes and imagine you’re in Baja, sitting in the sun, listening to some spanish music on the radio, having an ice cold Corona and eating a luscious shrimp cocktail.  The shrimp cocktail is in a tall glass with chunks of avocado and onions, all in a tangy salsa type sauce.  It’s served with saltine crackers which you use to heap on the salsa/avocado mixture before gobbling it up…. so good…. 

Open your eyes and you’re really in Dana Point at Carlos’ Mexican Restaurant. 

Here’s their website -WEBSITE  which doesn’t have their menus, but just know it’s good authentic Mexican food, really good chips and salsa and decent margaritas.  They also serve breakfast. 

I must say, I crave these shrimp cocktails and have been having one every week for a while now …. and you should drink a Bohemia beer with a slice of lime in it… oh yeah ….
