When I was 7 years old I was given “Anderson’s Fairy Tales” by my Aunt, Uncle and cousin for a Christmas present. It is a beautiful book filled with fairy tales by Hans Christian Andersen and fantastic illustrations.
As our world moves more and more towards the Kindle, Nook and iPad, I treasure my books even more. I almost bought an iPad to keep some trip information organized, but decided on a small binder. I could flip through it, tab the pages with titles, glue in maps and information … I just love my paper. But, I will probably at some point in my life buy an iPad, Nook or Kindle and move in that direction …. maybe.
For now, I buy the real deal … paper.
You can’t give a book inscribed for a gift on a Kindle can you? Some things are just so special like this Christmas present in 1966.
