I know this isn’t the most exciting post here in my blog, but it is informative!
We just took a trip up north to my brother’s house and camped out in his driveway in our RV. We planned on “dumping” on our way home … somewhere.
We have a state park pass, but it wasn’t in the RV.
I thought the rest stops had a dump station. The two we passed did not.
I looked on my phone and found RVDUMPS – a website with RV dump stations.
We’ve camped at Refugio alot and thought we would try there. Here is the paper they gave us –
Why is the dump station closed?
The dump station continually failed Santa Barbara County Health Departments containment regulations. Based on efficiencies and costs, it was determined that the best solution was to abandon the facility.
Several nearby dump stations are available.
Cachuma Lake – 805-686-5055

Flying Flags (Buellton) 805-688-3716
$8.00 – daylight hours only
River Park (Lompoc City) no phone#
$2.00 – daylight hours only
Southbound Travelers –
Marborg (Santa Barbara) 805-963-1852
$8.00 – open M-F 8am-4pm, Sat 8am-noon
76 Gas Station (Goleta)
Winchester Exit – 805-685-0201

We decided to get off at the Winchester Exit but it was closed for construction.
Oh forget it … we can dump at a state park during the week … we were only 1/4 full anyway. I should have done better research on this before heading up north, but now I know I can go on RV DUMPS and get the info I need.
